Instructions for Proposal Submission
IMPORTANT: Manuscripts submitted without an invitation or an approved Proposal will not be considered. Potential authors should submit a Proposal via ACS Paragon Plus to obtain approval for submitting a Review. Authors are required to use the Chemical Reviews Proposal Template. Once the Proposal template is complete, upload it as the Proposal File in ACS Paragon Plus.
Regarding Zhengxianling - China's first pan - international talent recruitment platform
Zhengxianling is developed and operated by Shanghai Yuntong Information Technology Co., Ltd. The company mainly provides international services such as talent job-seeking and recruitment, recruitment and introduction of high-level talents / science and technology innovation-related talents (Overseas Excellent Young Talents, Qiming Plan, online and offline job fairs, campus recruitment, social recruitment, online recruitment, headhunting, etc.), academic exchanges, and software development. In due time, we will launch language platforms and APPs in AI English, Korean, Japanese, French, German, etc. to meet the needs of global users. Up to now, the company has established communication channels with national ministries and commissions such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Science and Technology, talent offices of the Organization Departments of some provincial and municipal Party committees, departments of human resources and social security, industry and information technology, science and technology, trade unions, chambers of commerce, academic societies, associations, 985 and 211 universities in various regions across the country, HRs of some enterprises, the International Academician Consortium, the United Nations Science and Technology Commission WDTA, and some international institutions in countries such as Russia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Canada, and QS World's top 100 universities (MIT, Oxford, the University of Melbourne...).

In the past 2024, we have successively joined the Hubei Chushang Federation in China and the World Federation of Inventors' Associations [IFIA], and have established the grand goal of building Zhengxianling into China's first pan-international talent recruitment platform (Language platforms and APPs in AI English, Korean, Japanese, French, German, etc. will be launched in due time. Note that submissions of manuscripts for Thematic Issues are by Editorial invitation only and do not require a Proposal. Seehttp://pubs.acs.org/paragonplus/submission/chreay/chreay_authguide.pdf for complete details. The Proposal should consist of the following:
1.Proposal title
2.Author names, affiliations, and addresses
3.Description and topical outline
4. List of previous reviews of the subject, including books or book chapters, with complete references, including full author lists and article titles
5. List of five of the authors’ papers that are most closely related to the review topic with complete references, including full author lists and article titles
6. Estimate of the number of references in the manuscript
7. Estimate of the number of double-spaced pages in the manuscript
8. Tentative submission date The entire Proposal should not exceed five pages. Note that during submission of the Proposal in ACS Paragon Plus, authors must recommend at least five potential reviewers, who are experts in the field. The Proposal will be examined by the Editor and, in some cases, expert reviewers. A decision is usually reached within two months and often sooner. About the Journal Articles for Chemical Reviews should be substantial, comprehensive, authoritative, critical, and accessible reviews of published results on recent topics in chemistry that have not been comprehensively and critically reviewed recently. Reviews may cover either mature or emerging areas of research, but not inactive areas. Reviews of general interest and with high potential for broad impact are preferable to narrowly focused ones. The author should be a recognized expert in the field, and the scope of the subject area and the time period must be clearly defined in the introduction. All contributors to the subject should be considered when selecting material for discussion, although not all will be treated in depth, and the author’s own work should not be singled out for emphasis. The presentation should be addressed to readers who are competent in fundamentals but need not have extensive knowledge of the topic. All articles must be comprehensive in the treatment of the subject matter within the scope defined in the Introduction, but comprehensive does not necessarily imply a specific length or style. Reviews should provide a critical analysis of the topic and insights about the remaining challenges and future directions for the field.
