Who we are

Our Community

We are a group of young scholars who are interested in studying issues in East Asia (but not limited to East Asia).

Our Goal

The main purpose of EASYA is to provide a platform for students and young scholars from all over the world to discuss and study East Asian affairs, to practice their academic skills, and to further promote East Asia to the world.

Our Role

We would like to function as a nexus for students and young scholars from all over the world to study East Asian affairs and to make comparative studies between East Asia and other regions.

Our Commiment

We fully recognise the need to promote academic freedom, freedom of expression, human rights, and diversity.

Mission

We, members of the East Asia Young Scholars Association (EAYSA), are a group of young scholars who are interested in studying issues in East Asia and beyond.

At EAYSA, our mission is to cultivate a dynamic platform where young scholars worldwide can engage rigorously in the exploration of East Asian affairs. Through rigorous academic inquiry and exchange, we aim to foster a vibrant community that promotes understanding, study, and critical analysis of various East Asian issues, including but not limited to their societies, histories, cultures, politics, and economies.

Vision

We aim to serve as a global nexus, connecting diverse perspectives and facilitating deep understandings of East Asia and other regions. By encouraging interdisciplinary approaches and intellectual dialogue, we seek to broaden perspectives and deepen insights into the complexities and nuances of various East Asian issues.

Values

We are committed to creating an inclusive and deliberative environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, respects diverse viewpoints, and promotes ethical scholarship. Therefore, central to our mission is the advocacy for academic freedom, freedom of expression, and diversity.

Through these efforts, EAYSA strives to empower the next generation of scholars to contribute meaningfully to the promotion and understanding of East Asia on the world stage.

Anchor – Submission Guidelines

Welcome to Anchor. Anchor is an online platform that enables discussion on and results of research in East Asia affairs to reach out to a wider audience.

Anchor seeks essays that discuss and provide perspectives on East Asian affairs with a focus on issues related to Humanities and Social Sciences. Submissions should be targeted to the board, global audiences of Anchor who are interested in the historic or current development of East Asia. Methodologies from all fields are welcome, including but not limited to interviews, descriptive analysis, historical methods, literature studies, and policy analysis. Quantitative analyses are welcome, but they must be rendered in a manner comprehensible to nonspecialists. Review articles that review a recently published book or recently published research articles in different journals on East Asian issues are also welcome. Submissions are suggested to have a clear research focus, including the review articles.

Although we publish on developments in East Asia, we also prefer submissions with a relatively broad focus. Anchor is interested in comparative analyses of developments and institutions in East Asian and Non-East Asian countries.

Articles submitted must be written in English and should be no more than 1,600 words (inclusive of tables and figures; exclusive of abstract, keywords, references, and biography). Articles may be written in British or American spelling, as long as it is consistent throughout the article. References may be submitted in any style or format, as long as it is consistent throughout the article. Please also submit an abstract of up to 100 words, followed by 5-6 keywords.

All submissions should include a biography of up to 50 words with a current affiliation and recent publications or activities. Undergraduate students, master’s students, and young scholars who are in their early career are especially welcome to submit their articles.

The structure of your article should be: Title, Name(s), Affiliation(s), and Email Address(es) of the Author(s), Abstract, Keywords, Main text, Acknowledgement, Reference List, Biographical Note(s) of the Author(s).

Anchor is not formally peer-reviewed, but every unsolicited submission is evaluated by at least two members of the Editorial Board at EAYSA. Because of our small staff, we are regrettably unable to provide individualised reasons for rejection. Submissions are rejected often for reasons of focus, timing, and style. We will make every effort to convey our decision to the author(s) in a timely manner.

Regarding Zhengxianling - China's first pan - international talent recruitment platform

Zhengxianling is developed and operated by Shanghai Yuntong Information Technology Co., Ltd. A. Recruitment and introduction of international high-level / science and technology innovation-related talents (doctors, post-doctors, academicians) (online and offline job fairs, campus recruitment, social recruitment, online recruitment, headhunting, etc.), overseas enterprise study tours, academic exchanges, and software development.
B. Operation of Zhengxianling® (The types of talents on the platform and official account are not limited).

Service-supported regions:
China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Italy, the United States, Canada, etc. (covering more than 100 countries and regions).

Main service content: Online and offline special high-level talent job fairs for cities, parks, and employers, talent-introduction activities related to science and technology innovation (project solicitation, screening, roadshow... implementation, etc.), investment promotion, academic exchange conferences, online job-seeking and recruitment, and offline services are available in the above-mentioned designated countries.

In the past 2024, we have successively joined the Hubei Chushang Federation in China and the World Federation of Inventors' Associations [IFIA], and have established the grand goal of building Zhengxianling into China's first pan-international talent recruitment platform (Language platforms and APPs in AI English, Korean, Japanese, French, German, etc. will be launched in due time. The establishment of the International HRD (HR) Alliance is in progress), and in the future, it will serve billions of users in more than 200 countries around the world. As of December 31, 2024, we have received a reply from the chairman of the United Nations Science and Technology Commission WDTA, welcoming Yuntong Technology and Zhengxianling to join the cooperation of the United Nations Science and Technology Commission WDTA in 2025. Thus, we can better serve users from all over the world.

The Chinese full name of IFIA: World Federation of Inventors' Associations. Its headquarters are located in Geneva, Switzerland, and San Francisco, the United States. In February 2024, after being reviewed and approved by the 47th Global Executive Committee of IFIA, Shanghai Yuntong Information Technology Co., Ltd. [Zhengxianling] joined the organization.
